Regional Clubs

The Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America is a recognized Affiliate organization of the USEF and is represented by a committee of WPCSA members. The USEF Welsh Committee meets throughout the year to review current rules, discuss rule changes, and exchange ideas of mutual benefit to the organizations.  As part of our efforts to repopulate the USEF Welsh Committee for the two-year period of 3/01/2021 to 2/28/2023, the following steps will be taken:

The WPCSA is required to appoint 60% of the members of the USEF Welsh Committee, four of whom are required to be Active Athletes.  Appointees, once confirmed by the USEF Board of Directors, serve a two-year term beginning in March 2021. Appointees must be current members of the WPCSA and the USEF.  As with all WPCSA Committees, the appointments will be made by the WPCSA President who will consult with the current Chair of the USEF Welsh Committee.  

To be eligible to be designated as an Active Athlete appointed by the WPCSA to serve on the USEF Welsh Committee an individual must be:

A current WPCSA and USEF member (either amateur or professional status with the USEF)

Have exhibited within the last 10 years at a USEF recognized competition with a Welsh Pony or Cob (purebred, Half-Welsh or Part-Bred Welsh).

To be eligible for re-appointment the committee members currently serving must not have missed more than two conference call or in-person meetings without an excused absence. Names of committee members to be appointed by the WPCSA will be submitted to the USEF by October 9, 2020.
