ROSEHAVEN RAINDROP
Rosehaven Raindrop was the first foal sired by Rosehaven Talisman and as a foal, there was no doubt about her resemblance to Talisman’s dam, Farnley Tenby. Her name was chosen to have ‘Rain’ in it following in the footsteps of her dam, Hidden Creek’s Rain Belle and her sire, Cymraeg Rain Beau. Raindrop was shown lightly as a youngster, primarily to get experience. Starting in her four year old year, however, she showed and did consistently well in the competitive B Mare division. For most of her in hand career she was shown by the very capable Susan Weigand. In 2011 she won the Stonecroft Breeders Challenge at the NEWPA show under UK judge Stuart Lloyd. She probably breaks some kind of record in the National High Score program for placing fifth a total of four times in B mares, one time missing fourth by only one point! Her performance career started as a six year old under the expert guidance of Jacqueline Morris of Fat Chance Farm. She started in Low Hunter and eventually moved up to English and Western Pleasure and Adult Hunter, earning enough points in 2012 to receive her LOM.
