MADOC GWYNETH

Madoc Gwyneth (*Kentchurch Chime LOM/LOM x *Llanarth Mary Alice) came to us in 2003 as a 4-year-old, leased as a broodmare from her owner and breeder, Mary Alice Williams of Madoc Farm. We showed her intermittently over the next several years in between foals gradually accumulating points in Halter, English Pleasure, and Hunter divisions. Despite her limited showing, Gwyneth still earned several WPSCA national awards. During that time, we grew quite attached to Gwyneth and her loving personality so when the opportunity to buy her arose we could not refuse. We then decided to focus on her show career. Her points quickly piled up! Gwyneth’s amazing, round jump encouraged us to try her in the USEF pony hunters. Therefore in 2009, with the help of Robyn Schmidt at Timbercreek Stables, Gwyneth stepped into the “A” show hunter ring. Mary Birdsong Gabriel took the reins in 2010, qualifying Gwyneth for Pony Finals in the Large Green division! Gwyneth also finished reserve champion in the Green Pony division of the Texas Hunter Jumper Association. While busy competing in “A” shows, Gwyneth continued to show in WPCSA shows finishing her final points for her Legion of Merit and adding a couple more WPSCA awards to her name in 2010.
