Individual Legion of Merit

LOAFERS LODGE PERSEPHONE LOM (RosMel’s Dressed in Scarlet LOM x Ledinjadon Tiger Lilly) was perfect from day one. She was a lovely expression, lovely mover, and awesome personality. We showed her as a yearling and didn’t do as well as we had hoped. Every time people on the side would come over and say, we picked your filly first. Sometimes they were not from the Welsh world and sometimes they were. We loved her so it didn’t matter. So we bred this pretty 3 year old mare and didn’t get a foal at 4. So, we might as well break Persephone. Meg and Emily worked with Persephone and she was easy. Now they started jumping and were doing little courses in the next week. “Whoa”, I said, “Why, she doesn’t mind.” The rest is history. She was loved by the judges as 5 year old. She had not been shown since she was a yearling. I guess I don’t mind now. She was Grand Champion mare and Supreme many times. She is one special girl.
