GOLDHILLS MAKEBELIEVE PRINCESS

Image 18 of 42

GOLDHILLS MAKEBELIEVE PRINCESS LOM (Wedderlie Mardi Gras x Goldhills Mystique LOM/AOE) known affectionately as “Tiara”, is a stunning chestnut section B mare bred by Goldhill’s Welsh of Herald, California. Her sire is the WPCSA National High Score Champion and Royal Welsh Champion Wedderlie Mardi Gras. Her dam is the Multi National High-Score Champion Goldhills Mystique LOM/AOE, by Gayfields Call the Cops LOM/LOM/AOE/AOE/OD. With her pedigree, is it any surprise that she was born with a perfect Tiara already placed upon her forehead? Tiara’s sweet, curious personality would have made her a barn favorite anyway, but Tiara was a Junior Halter success as well. As a two-year-old, she captured the National High Score title and completed her 500 halter points with some to spare. When Tiara turned three, what had been a pretty filly became a beautiful mare and a star in the performance ring. Her flowing movement, natural cadence, elegant carriage and eye-catching looks made her hard to miss, or beat. In the 2009 show season, her first under saddle, Tiara earned Eighteen performance Division Championships and three Reserves, including both English and Western Pleasure at the American Nationals. In a tough field of competitors she held her own winning English Pleasure Division Championships 82% of the time she walked in the ring. In 2009 our stretch goal for Tiara was to finish her LOM. She accomplished that in August at just three years and four months of age. In addition, she went on to earn the National High-Score Championship in English Pleasure plus a Reserve in Trail. This young mare is clearly going to make us reexamine our definition of a stretch goal. We at Zephyrus Welsh are very grateful to Goldhills Welsh for the opportunity to raise and enjoy this lovely mare and look forward to many more years showing her and her future foals.
