GOLDHILLS HOT MOCHA
GOLDHILLS HOT MOCHA LOM (*OkedenTaffy LOM/AOE x *Okeden Honeysuckle LOM/AOE) is the fifth and last filly from the wonderful cross of *Okeden Taffy LOM/AOE and *Okeden Honeysuckle LOM/AOE. Big and bay with a big star and lightening mark on one hind leg, we knew Mocha was something special from the start. Mocha took after her older sisters’ championship ways, but did so more quickly than any of the others, from winning her only class as a yearling to winning her first National Championship as a two year old. Mocha took a year off as a three year old, and came back to win 19 first place awards, 17 Grand Championships and an amazing 11 Supreme Championships, including double Supreme at the Western National during 2008 at age 4. Several people (other than Gerald) have commented that she is the best cob mare or best moving cob mare showing in the US. Mocha also made her performance debut mid-year, resulting in a reserve National Championship in Pleasure Driving in 2008. In 2009 Mocha was shown lightly under saddle, both english and western, as well as in Pleasure Driving where she won the National Championship. Showing against her stable mate and full sister, High Tea, for most of the year Mocha ended 2009 as reserve National Champion in hand. At the end of 2009 Mocha had earned 1599 halter points and just under 1000 performance points. Mocha is bold and beautiful, and we look forward to many more show ring performances for the mare known at home as “Gerald’s favorite”.
