GLYNHAFAN HERMIONE
Glynhafan Hermione is a 2003, 13.0 7/8 hand section B mare. She was bred at Glynhafan Farm by Glenda Armstrong. Hermione is by Glynhafan Red Hawk and out of Glynmagic Lorelei. She is proudly owned by Kaitlin and Elizabeth Hofer. We first saw “Bunny” at the 2008 Bel/Air show, her first Welsh show. It was a great beginning- she swept both the adult english pleasure and the adult hunter divisions. She also swept the adult english pleasure division and was champion adult hunter at Penn/Marydel. Kaitlin tried her there, and they seemed a good match, so she came home with us- luckily,we had room on the trailer! She continued her winning ways all season, and though she only started showing mid-June, she ended the season Reserve National Champion in Adult English Pleasure. But she really shined in the USEF divisions- she was the 2008 USEF HOTY Grand Champion Welsh, and National Champion and Zone 2 Champion in both Welsh Pleasure Adult and Welsh Adult Hunter. Hermione had another great year in 2009. She ended the season WPCSA National Champion in A/B English Pleasure 12.2-14.2 and National Champion in Short Stirrup Hunter with Kaitlin. With her adult rider, she was WPCSA Reserve National Champion in both A/B Adult English Pleasure and A/B Adult Western Pleasure. She was also the Tylwyth Pony Farm Timber Creek Morning Mist Award High Score Section B with over 2200 points. Plus being the 2009 USEF HOTY Reserve National Champion and Zone 2 Champion Welsh Pleasure Adult. This year, 2010, has been just as successful for this wonderful pony.Kaitlin and Hermione continued to shine as a team. They are the WPCSA National Champion in Short Stirrup Hunter for the second year in a row, and Reserve National Champion in both Short Stirrup Equitation and A/B English Pleasure 12.2-14.2, and for the second year in a row she is the High Score Section B.Hermione has earned both her LOM and her AOE, and she is also the 2010 USEF HOTY National and Zone 2 Champion Welsh Adult Pleasure. Hermione is versatile- she has shown successfully in breed, english and western pleasure ,hunters, trail, and ridden pony, and excelled at them all. She is incredibly brave jumping- she will jump any course cold, and even jumped a fence when the brush box blew down right in front of her! Kaitlin and I have been so lucky to own her. She is truly special.
