FOX CRY WHINNY THE POOH LOM (Lands End The Colonel’s Fox x Fox Cry Whiskers on Kittens) I had gone to a Welsh Pony meeting for Penn Mary Del at Adele Bailey’s. She had some very lovely ponies. I saw this colt with so much personality. He was so full of it. He entertained me quite a bit. He was small so I never thought a thing about him again. I had been breeding Sec B’s and had some very nice movers but they were plainer in the head. We did some awesome jobs in performance but were losing to prettier ponies. I found this very aggravating. Adele e-mailed me and told me she wanted to sell her young stallion Fox Cry Whinny the Pooh. I told some up and coming young breeders about him. They had a wonderful Sec A and I told them to get a B stallion and it would open their market a bit. So we went and saw Pooh. He was still full of it all by himself putting on quite a show. He was 5 now. I still didn’t want him he was too small. I wanted to breed the bigger Sec B’s. Adele called quite a few months later and asked didn’t I have a mare to breed to Pooh. Yes, I do have a small mare who would be an awesome cross. So we went to breed to Pooh. It only took 3 hours to get the job done. Jiminy Christmas!! After that she said. “Please come and take him. I have to move. I’ve lowered his price!” He did have some of the most wonderful breeding. I picked him up just to show him for Adele so people would see him. After that he never went home. He prettied up my faces alright and Wow can the MOVE. Then of course I crossed him with some Sec A’s and they were pretty and could really move. Oh well. I love him and he is still quite the character. Someone told me to sell him and keep a few breedings. It sounded good but WHY???? I do love him and he is the perfect boy for me.
