Individual Legion of Merit

Farmore Royal Tywyn AKA "Ty" is a 2008 Section B Stallion. Thanks to Tammy Burgin of Farmore Farms Welsh Ponies and Denise Sexton of Designer Welsh Ponies I had the opportunity to own my very first Welsh Pony. I can still remember the day I brought my little guy home. I was so excited! He was about four months old and to me he was the cutest thing in the world! I had big dreams for Ty. Now that I had my very own show pony, I wanted to start showing. At the young age of six months Ty competed at his very first show, the Western National Welsh show, November 2008. Ty was first in the 2 and under colts under two judges and 2nd in 2 and under colts under two judges. Ty went on to be pinned Reserve Youngstock Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Section B. I was so excited my little boy got to go into the Supreme class at both shows...what a thrill it was for our first show. In 2009, Ty made the trip to Tulsa, OK, where he was Youngstock Champion under both judges! Ty ended 2009 as the National Champion Sec B, 2 and under Colt. Ty continued on his halter career ending up in the top ten Nationally for 2010, 2011 and 2012. This past year was the year for Ty to shine in his under saddle career. As a four year old I was so impressed with Ty's eagerness to please and his desire be be a showman or should I say show pony. Ty was a top competitor in both English, Western and Ridden Pony. I think Ty was destine to be a show pony. He loves everything about showing. It was surely a year to remember. Ty finished the year winning a National Title in Adult Western Pleasure, top 10 in halter and English pleasure and third place in Ridden Pony. In the South West Region Ty was Champion Adult Western Pleasure and English Pleasure, Overall High Point Section B Pony and High Point Rider/Pony combo. To top it all off Ty earned his Individual Legion Of Merit.
