FARMORE PRIMA BALLERINA

Prima was born the ultimate show pony. Always ready to walk in the ring, she relishes the attention and she loves to show off. She stepped into the ring for the first time her weanling year winning her class. Her yearling year was even more successful with more wins and junior championships. At two, a trip to Tulsa, OK resulted in winning her class under both judges and then Junior Champion filly under both judges. And then to top that off, she won the Young stock Championship under both the UK and the US judges over all sections. As a three year old her first time out under saddle was back in Tulsa at the spring show with rent-a-kid Emma Lemke. Emma was unable to canter in the warm up since Prima was so green and it was a small, unfenced area that dropped off onto cement. I advised Emma to just go out and do her best and not to worry about “cantering”. However, Emma and Prima had other ideas. A bit of trot into the canter transition garnered them a third in the class so Emma and Prima kicked it up a notch and had the perfect canter transitions winning the next two classes and the division! Prima’s next rent-a-kid riders came from California. Cheyenne Lewis showed her in walk trot and Child’s First Pony, Ana Forsell and Haley Stone showed her in English Pleasure and then the match made in heaven, Sarah Ryan (who was also showing Prima’s mom *Telynau Ballerina in the hunters) took Prima to multiple division Championships in both English and Western Pleasure. Needing less than 100 points to finish her Legion of Merit, Sarah came to the first California show in 2010 and won both divisions on Prima and also finished the points needed for the coveted Legion of Merit. Following her sire *Telynau Royal Charter and her dam *Telynau Ballerina to the hunter ring is Prima’s next goal. We expect the same success for her as they both have shared. Then we hope to add her to our broodmare band to pass on that electric show ring presence she possesses. If she were a child, she would ALWAYS be smiling!!
