In accordance with the Federal Safe Sport Act signed by President Trump in February 2018, WPCSA is requiring all WPCSA Staff, WPCSA Licensed Officials, WPCSA Board of Directors, or any individual WPCSA formally authorizes, approves, or appoints (a) to a position of authority over, or (b) to have frequent contact with any minor athlete as defined as: Any rider, driver, or handler under the age of 18 as of 12/1 of each competition calendar year who participates in any WPCSA licensed competition or WPCSA sanctioned event to complete and maintain a current certificate of completion and compliance for Safe Sport Training via safesport.org.
USEF has kindly extended their Safe Sport umbrella to WPCSA at no charge to WPCSA or WPCSA members. If you are already a USEF member you are required to complete Safe Sport Training as a requirement of your membership. USEF has agreed to provide a free Fan Membership to all WPCSA members that do not already hold a current USEF Membership. Once a USEF Fan Membership number is issued and a USEF account has been setup, you are able to create an account on safesport.org and provide your USEF Fan Member number in the account registration process. Safe Sport training must be completed annually prior to any judging or show assignments.
What does this mean for your shows? All shows held 2020 and beyond must be compliant with Safe Sport. All persons in a position of authority listed in any WPCSA approved premium, such as (but not necessarily limited to) judge(s), TD’s, Rules Commission, Show Manager, Ring Master, and Show Secretaries must be Safe Sport training certified or the premium will NOT be approved.

As a USEF member you must to complete Safe Sport training as a requirement of your membership. If you have not done so already, please click the link above to access your USEF Dashboard and click the link for Safe Sport.
You can go directly to the Safe Sport website to setup your account and complete the training. You will need your USEF member number to do so.
Instructions for Accessing the USEF SafeSport Training
If you already have a USEF ID number:
- Please visit www.usef.org and enter your USEF member ID and password. Once logged in, click on the red Upgrade button at the top of the page.
- Select Join as a Subscriber.
- You will be taken to the application page where you can enter WPCSA24 in the Promo Code box to take advantage of the complimentary membership.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page to activate your account. Once activated, you will received an email confirming your membership and providing you with details for accessing your MyUSEF member dashboard and the ability to access SafeSport resources and training.
If you do NOT have a USEF ID number:
- Please visit www.usef.org, click on Become a Member at the top of the home page.
- From the Join & Renew page, select Join as a Subscriber.
- Create your USEF ID and online User Account.
- Create your MyUSEF account, and enter your information on the subsequent account pages and Subscriber Member application.
- Make sure to enter WPCSA24 in the Promo Code box to take advantage of the complimentary Subscriber membership.
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page to activate your account. Once activated, you will received an email confirming your membership and providing you with details for accessing your MyUSEF member dashboard and the ability to access SafeSport resources and training.
